School opens at 8.55a.m. and 1.00p.m. for registration and registers close at 9.30a.m. and 1.30p.m. Please ensure your child arrives at school in good time for registration.

Only in exceptional circumstances will the school agree to an absence during term time and not for family holidays. Please make an appointment with the Head Teacher and Attendance Officer to discuss any potential absence and complete an absence from school for exceptional circumstances request form.
Service personnel returning from a tour of duty abroad where it is evidenced that the individual will not be in receipt of any leave in the near future that coincides with school holidays.
Where an absence from school is recommended by a health professional as part of a parent or child’s rehabilitation from a medical or emotional issue.
The death or terminal illness of a person close to the family.
To attend a wedding or funeral of a person close to the family.
Where there are exceptional and unforeseen circumstances that fall outside of the above, the Head Teacher will consult with the Principal Education Welfare Officer prior to any authorisation being given to the parent.

Please make all appointments out of school time in order not to disrupt your child’s education. It this is not possible we will need to see a copy of the appointment card/letter. We can provide a card for the medical practice to stamp. A photocopy will be taken and kept on your child’s file.
